FARMINGTON – Tax rage erupted in Davis County last fall when some homeowners experienced shock over ballooning property values. Since then, the county received 2,654 appeals. To date, 1,360 have been approved and 386 denied. That equates to about a 76 percent approval rate, said Clerk-Auditor Steve Rawlings during Wednesday's Commission meeting.

About 900 appeals still need to be processed, Rawlings said.

In other action:

Commissioners approved a $5,000 grant to launch an online registry for the Davis County Health Department's 50-member Medical Reseerve Corps. The group would help staff temporary clinics in case of an emergency.
